Action is being taken to improve employment in Ballarat with a new initiative aiming to create 90 jobs in 90 days.
It comes after figures reveal 23% of the city's youth are unemployed.
Ballarat Group Training CEO Garry Doyle shares that 30% of their students who have finished University or TAFE and are still unemployed.
Lisa Veale from the Sarina Russo Apprenticeships explains the event is for the community.
"The breakfast is the start of the conversation in tackling youth unemployment. We must all work together and local businesses are now thinking about how they can become part of the solution."
Ballarat Foundation CEO Geoff Sharp hopes that the initiative makes multi-generational unemployment a thing of the past.
