Umps makes right decision for elderly

One month after graduation from the New Enterprise Incentive Scheme, founder and CEO of Umps Health, Adam Jahnke has presented at global conference in the United Kingdom and been selected to take part in the Melbourne Accelerator Program (MAP).

Umps Health helps older Australians live in their homes for longer, and provides family members with peace of mind that their relative is happy and healthy.

Umps Health works by placing a small sensor that detects current in between appliances and the wall socket. When behaviour is out of the norm, an alert is raised.

Importantly, Umps Health doesn't just wait until an incident has occurred - it can detect small changes in behaviour that might indicate a heightened level of risk. Alerts can then be provided to family members by text message, e-mail or phone call.

As one of ten start-ups selected in 2017 for MAP, Adam will receive $20,000 in early stage funding to support accelerating his businesses, in addition to office space and a comprehensive five month program involving structured mentoring, development workshops and pitching opportunities.
