FIVE-STAR REVIEW

I started out on ParentsNext with Suzie in Caloundra, who was very helpful with helping me sign up to a Certificate III in Teacher Aide. After leaving ParentsNext and going onto a Job Provider, I was lucky to have help from Peter! After speaking with Peter briefly about what I want to do, he went up and beyond to help me make my dream job a reality. Without Peters help I might have missed the opportunity to work in my dream role. I can't thank this team enough.

They offer a service called ParentsNext. It is a service for parents who want to study or want to find employment after there kids are 4 years of age. In this program they set goals and helped me to write a resume that resulted in me getting a job. So, thank you!

Creating your family-friendly return to work plan

THE PROCESS

Your very first step back into the workforce is a meeting with your ParentsNext consultant. They’ll spend some time getting to know about you and your goals for your family, study and work. Together you’ll develop a return to work plan that helps you achieve these goals and create gr8tness for many years to come! This might include:

  • Engaging in a work-experience program
  • Enrolling in a qualification or course, including support to complete year 12
  • Referrals for medical support to address any health issues you may be experiencing
  • Finding suitable part-time work

These activities will be set together with your personal consultant to work in with your personal needs and the needs of your family.

You’ll have access to the Participation Fund, which can help cover the cost of education, training and employment-related costs (such as licences, equipment or clothing). You may also be eligible for relocation assistance and employer wage subsidies, to give you the edge in your job applications.

Our goal is to work together with you to achieve your goals. We’re excited to help you reach them!

I had Kat as my ParentsNext Consultant. She was amazing. She made me feel comfortable. She made sure I understood everything clearly. She walked me through all the paperwork, linked me up with a program that built my confidence to be job ready and helped me with my resume, interview and clothing. I was lucky to get her as my Workforce Australia Consultant.
