Congratulations on being Accepted into the Small Business Training Program!

Before accessing the virtual classroom, please read the information below carefully and follow the instructions provided.

STEP ONE

Complete the SRI online enrolment form

Create a USI if you don’t already have one

Enrol into the Sarina Russo Institute for your chosen skill set or qualification:

(Please note, your qualification will be delivered through Sarina Russo Institute (RTO: 0427)) 

*This application form is in additional to the application forms you completed for Self-Employment Assistance.

PLEASE NOTE – THIS MUST BE COMPLETED AS SOON AS POSSIBLE

When completing the online form

  • When selecting location, please ensure that you select the state you reside in
  • Enter your course start date start date as per the training start date stated in your Small Business Training Enrolment Information Email
  • Select the skill set/or qualification as stated in your Small Business Training Enrolment Information Email
  • Log in details for iLearn and your qualification will be sent to you in due course

STEP TWO

The Business Development Journal will be used throughout your course and it is advisable to save this document so you can access and save your work. We suggest you take some time to read the and complete as much as you can before your training course commences. The journal will help you to gather your ideas about your business and will greatly assist you during the course as well as to help you complete your business and financial plan.

Further documents to support your training and business journey will become available when you commence in your course.

STEP THREE

Training Days: Click Here

Week 1: Orientation session and Exploring Self Employment Workshop are fully online
Weeks 2 – 3: Small Business Training are a combination of face to face at (Monday and Thursday) and online (Tuesday and Wednesday)

The online training room will open 15 minutes before the lecture commences. Please ensure you use Google Chrome as your internet browser.

You will be provided with an allocated Login ID to use when you sign into the online classroom. This will be sent to you by email prior to course commencement.

What you’ll need:

  • Writing materials – notepad, pens etc.
  • Laptop / computer
  • Earphones with built in mic
  • Software to open and edit templates: e.g. Microsoft word and excel, Libre office (free) Google Docs (free)

Attend your course orientation session (Online)

STEP FOUR

As a new student, it is important that you attend the orientation session, so you have a good understanding of the training schedule, the online platform and the learning process. It will also allow the trainers to assist you with any technical issues or other challenges prior to your course commencement.
You will receive an email with the full details of the orientation session one week before. Please ensure to check your inbox and spam inbox. You can access the orientation session using the link to the online classroom above.

The session will run for approximately 3 hours.

She is drawn to excellence and has a wealth of experience in executive, adult education and training roles. Francis is an Innovative Business Strategist, People Manager and Educator with a passion for helping people and organisations identify and achieve their potential. His areas of expertise include Business Strategy, Marketing, Coaching, Stakeholder Relations, Organisational Design, Performance Management, Information Technology, Human Resources and Training Design and Implementation. He has extensive experience in Academic and Vocational Education, Property Management, Healthcare, Retail, Fashion, Entertainment and Leisure industries. During his free time, he enjoys dabbling with technology and playing video games with his kids.

Kevin is usually the voice of reason & someone that will gently nudge you in being the best version of yourself. He has a very abstract way of looking at life & will positively challenge you in understanding the things you have uncovered about yourself during the program. He will show you how you can use this newfound knowledge & confidence to get out there & boldly chase your dreams & make them a reality. 

Erwin Brem has 35 years of business ownership experience, building two successful businesses including one of the largest and longest running B2B franchises in Brisbane. Erwin has also consulted to a national franchise chain and has travelled the length and breadth of Australia to work with company and privately owned franchises, developing improved systems for sales and service standards which dramatically increased and improved client contact, service quality and trading income. 

Erwin specialises in recruitment and staff training, planning and management, sales and customer service, and brand, image and  marketing. Since 2015 he has focused attention on supporting local small business growth, developed from the lessons learnt from his own experiences over those 35 years. He has coached and mentored business growth as well as trained staff in all roles from sales, and service, to business management.
